Community

Sharing the joy of Opera and Music theatre with our community.

Community Opera
We invite aspiring singers, both children and adults, to join the chorus in The Snow Queen. This newly commissioned community work will be exclusively staged at Wodonga's The Cube on 3 & 4 November. Registrations to participate in the production will open via our website in July this year.

Accessible Performances
Creating accessibility is a big part of Victorian Opera's commitment to inspiring the community. In 2017, Victorian Opera will continue providing Tactile Tours and Audio Described performances forour productions of The Sleeping Beauty, Cunning Little Vixen and The Black Rider. The annual Relaxed Performance designed for children with various access requirements will be The Princess and the Pea

Touring
Taking opera around the state is integral to the company's commitment to creating opera for all Victorians. In 2017, our Education production Hansel and Gretel will delight another generation of school children on its tour to Mildura, Bendigo, Sale and Wodonga. Aucdiences will also be treated to a concert, Heroes and Villains, a two hour celebration of some of opera's greatest characters accompanied by a 15 piece orchestra.
